"Black Christmas" is the Christmas Special of Season One of YouTube's Subjects. It originally aired on December 23rd, 2015.

Plot Synopsis[edit | edit source]

George returns from a small holiday as he decides, along with Theodore, to spend Christmas together at school.

After decorating and talking about Christmas, the two part ways after George goes for a coffee. Theodore is left to talk to Adornius about the serial killer at large.

The episode ends with Theodore playing air guitar to himself, melancholy about his Christmas.

  • First appearance of Adornius.
  • Despite the episode being set at Christmas, the episode was filmed in November.
  • The episode originally was set after Season One and would act as a prequel to Season Two, showing Courtney's first day at Greenaway aswell as the first few signs of The League showing up.
  • The bauble that breaks in the opening montage was a complete accident made by Theo Thacker
  • No vodka was actually consumed during the making of the episode.
  • A light fell over and almost broke due to absurd amounts of wind during the street scene.
  • Peter Capaldi was in talks to play Adornius.
  • Leon Kay initially portrayed Adornius as a wild Russian character but several takes with different accents were filmed.
  • The hug from George was originally consensual, until Ian Ilett suggested it would not best please Theodore's character.

Errors[edit | edit source]

  • The air guitar is not played to the tune of the song.
  • Theo Thacker can be seen laughing whilst playing the air guitar due to being embarrassed.
